Description
This title is directed primarily towards health care professionals outside of the United States. It covers the complete range of acute medical conditions and problems that junior doctors are likely to encounter during the first years of training (PRHO/SHO) - the Foundation programme years.
Reviews
"Whilst the book itself is compact and can be used as a pocket reference, having the same information readily at hand on a handheld computer will be of real benefit to the growing numbers of clinicians who now use PDAs. Using the Mobipocket platform, the software is easy to install and navigate. It contains all of the essential text from the paper addition but without the diagrams and figures, so conserving machine memory...
more than just another handbook for medical students and doctors. The detail and structure also make it an ideal core text from which to learn acute medicine."

For sport and exercise science students and doctors treating elite athletes, I couldn't recommend this book highly enough. For those doctors interested in the subject who are prepared to take time to understand the basic immune response, it may stimulate them to look at exercise prescription in a different light.
